When I first started Pop Corn & Paillettes almost a year ago, I did it almost impulsively. I felt that it was the right time, I sat down on my computer and created it from scratch sitting on my couch in my living room. My friends and family members would then congratulate me for my “courage” and encourage me to continue.
Little did they know that I had no clear plan. I only knew one thing for sure: I had to do it! People would then ask me this question: “what are you going to blog about” I would answer “fashion and beauty and I’ll see where it takes me”. Well ladies, I am happy to announce that I finally see where it took me.
Lately I have decided to focus on a niche that is dear to my heart – African fashion. African fashion is what I’m drawn to and where my interest lays. I find it to be extremely rich and diverse. The young designers with their limitless creativity, the colorful and bold patterns are what I want to explore.
I’ll be sharing and blogging about two main topics, my style choices and African fashion designers and brands. Of course, I’ll try, as much as possible, to show you pieces by those designers. I will create stylish and modern outfits around those pieces
To start off, there is one issue that I wanted to address. One of the problems that I hear women complain about and that myself faced a few years ago is where to find nice pieces by African creators online. Being an absolute fashion freak, I’ve always kept a list of online stores by category. Since my “African fashion” category was getting quite full, I decided to share with you ladies, a list of 100 stores to purchase from online. The list is divided in 7 categories and goes from marketplaces to jewelry and swimwear.
Please, help yourselves, download it for free and let me know what you think about it.
Enjoy!
